Bone Grafting

When teeth are lost or extracted, the surrounding jawbone can shrink over time. Bone grafting restores volume and density, creating a stable foundation for dental implants and protecting your facial structure.

We perform bone grafting right at our High River clinic, often during the same visit as a tooth extraction (called socket preservation) to keep the bone intact for a future implant.

The procedure uses safe, well-tolerated grafting materials placed into the area where bone has been lost. Over the following months, your body integrates the graft, rebuilding bone where it's needed.

Bone grafting is commonly recommended before implant placement, after long-standing tooth loss, or when periodontal disease has reduced bone support. Your dentist will walk you through whether a graft is the right next step for you.
